CEPT Practice C2 Level Open GAP FILL about traveling to Oslo

 

By the (1) _______ we landed in Oslo, it was already pitch dark. Rather than the wintry wonderland I had hoped (2) _______ , rain was lashing down under the orange airport lights. It was bitterly cold. The airport bus deposited me, tired, hungry and disorientated, in the city centre.
